|Title:||👋 Hello, welcome to Gemtext Playground!|
This message is written in Gemtext. You can see and edit the Gemtext markup on the left, and live preview on the right. If you're using a mobile device, you get a button at the bottom to switch between editing and preview.
After reading this text, You can switch to "My Draft" to start typing your next fantastic article right away.
You can find a more official introduction of Gemtext at:
Immortal.Work accepts what we call "IW-flavored Gemtext", which is fully compatible with Gemtext, just adding some things useful for a Web platform, and some ability to extend a Gemtext document.
You'll see (IW) marked at the beginning of some lines or headings indicating it's a IW-flavored Gemtext feature.
Just type. A single line of text is treated as a paragraph. To start a new paragraph, just hit "enter".
If you need to create a wider gap between paragraphs, just leave a blank line. We recommend use at most 2 blank lines at once.
You've already seen how to do it:
# Level 1 ## Level 2 ### Level 3
There're only three levels of headings. If you feel that you need more, you may want to break the article into multiple ones.
(IW) Just one thing to add: When the first line of this document (excluding blank lines and meta block) is a Level 1 heading, it becomes the title of the document, which is totally intuitive, isn't it.
You've seen it above too.

You can omit the description:
which means the link itself will be displayed:
This is not encouraged; It's almost always better to offer a title for it.
Meta block is a special type of block. If you aren't tech-savvy, just know it begins with a line of "```:" and ends with a line of "```", and it's used to provide some extra data for the article.
An example of it is at the end of this document (in edit view).
This block can be placed anywhere in the document, but we recommend putting it at the beginning or the end. It is not displayed, and you should have no more than one of it in your article.
The markup used in the block is JSON, but it doesn't matter if you don't understand it.
You should replace "en" with your language, so Immortal.Work and your browser can decide the best way to render your article:
"Slug" means the part of link representing your article. For example, if user laosb submitted an article with "slug": "my-article", the resulting article will have a link like https://immortal.work/~laosb/my-article.
Be aware that some characters may not work in a slug: We recommend you to use following characters only.
It's better to mark a "creation date" for your article for "createdAt". Just make sure it's in the format as demonstrated above.
